How to Style Your Wedding Website
Styling your event page is entirely optional. The defaults look good on their own. But if you want the page to feel unmistakably yours, a few choices make the biggest difference.
Picking a font that matches your wedding's tone
Fonts carry more tone than most people expect before they start comparing them side by side. A formal black-tie wedding and a relaxed backyard one usually want visibly different type. Try a few options against your actual page rather than picking from a list of names, the difference is easier to feel than to describe.
Colours: background, text, buttons
Three colours do most of the work: your background, your text, and your button colour. Pick these together rather than one at a time, since a colour that looks fine on its own can be hard to read against a background you chose separately.
Contrast matters more than most people think about upfront. Text that's technically readable in good light can be genuinely hard to read on a phone screen in bright sun, which is exactly where a lot of your guests will be looking at this page. If your colour choice makes text hard to read, you'll see a gentle warning, dismissible, not a hard block, since it's your call in the end.
Header images across different pages
You can set a different header image for your programme page, your gallery, and each extra page. These are separate from anything guests upload, entirely under your control. A consistent image style across pages (all outdoor shots, or all the same colour tone) tends to feel more intentional than mismatched images from different sources.
Page layout options
Each page can use "image on top" or "image on the left" as a layout, and you're not locked into one choice sitewide, individual pages can differ if that makes sense for the content.
Defaults are fine too
None of this is required. If styling isn't where you want to spend your planning time, the defaults are built to look complete and intentional without any changes. Styling is there for the couples who want it, not a step you have to get through.
